Mouse and Keyboard
Hey im having a hard time getting along with mouse and keyboard. Can someone explain to me, how to use the map properly? Idk how to fast travel or set marks on the position of the mouse cursor. Also i couldnt find out yet, how to use ashes of war. Would be great if someone could explain it to a noobie and 1st time souls like gamer! :) Have a nice day yàll and have fun dying LOL

Under "System" (Options) from the title screen go to sound and display. Look for Device for on-screen notifications and change that to mouse and keyboard. Open the map with G key and move the cursor around using w,a,s,d. Press R to set a marker where your cursor is at.

Ashes of war can be placed on equipment at any lost grace site once you've gotten the whetstone knife. You can get this early on at the frontgate ruins, down some stairs.

One of the keys that may be missing from the keybindings will be the letter G for the map / help.

May have to... let me refresh before I post this.

Make sure you go to sound and display settings. Switch device for on screen prompts to mouse and key. Helps a bit.

Use your WASD keys to move cursor on the map!

Could look up AutoHotKey https://www.autohotkey.com/

Allows you to custom bind any game input to what you like. If the game requires two key input, you can custom script it so only one is required. Runs outside the game, no risk of flag or ban. Was required for proper KBM in DS2...

Bit of a learning curve but best solution b/c don't think the QoL aspect of the game will be improved anytime soon.
