Invisible Enemies
Getting the invisible enemies bug, although it is more like disappearing enemies. As the game loads, I can see them but many of the soon disappear, been testing it at the gatefront ruins grace site, at all levels of settings, windowed, nothing else running, new areas and returning, new characters, running as administrator, before and with the latest update and it is still happening. As you can imagine, this makes this game unplayable.
Please, this needs a fix and I cannot think of how to do that myself at this point. Does anyone have any advice to give? Can we get FromSoft to get to patching this because ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I want to play this game.

Okay so i figured it out by doing a lot of research everywhere, I used to have the same issue, enemies disappearing, torrent being invisible, problems with fps. The main culprit for me was the anti cheat engine, so the way I managed to fix it was by -

1) Turning my internet off and starting the game
2) Anti cheat wont turn on
3) After that I turned the performance of Elden Ring to high in the task manager (not sure if it does anything but it could be a key to making the game run smoothly).

Game now runs smoothly like butter on high settings, no disappearing enemies, and according to my specs I'm below minimum, honestly not sure. Only thing to consider is your going to be playing offline then, but I prefer that to invisible enemies.

Hope it works for you.

Gave it a go but didn't work I'm afraid. Seems like Anti cheat still comes on? And I can't turn the priority for Elden Ring up to high, comes up with Access Denied, which makes no sense as I am the only user on this? I am maybe being dumb though. I hadn't even considered that it could be the Anti-cheat but it wouldn't surprise me considering the history of those sorts of things.
Thanks for the suggestions though, really hope they know about this issue and are working to fix it

Try starting elden ring from the steam folder. not the protected game but just the elden ring. The access denied pops up if the anti cheat is running had the same issue. From what I understand Steam runs the 'Start_Protected_game.exe' instead the the eldenring.exe. Make sure the internet is off before you start up elden ring. Thats the only thing I can think off. Tried to run it off of steam earlier with no internet and it started the anti cheat engine, so try from the folder.

Good luck.

I have tried starting it direct from the folder, just eldenring.exe (as normal and admin) but even running that still gets easy anti cheat going as it connects to steam to start running. How have you managed to get to run without the anti-cheat? aha

Well the only other thing I did was go into safe mode on my pc, and followed someones advice online couldn't find where I got the info from sorry. Basically the idea was to go into safe mode on your pc, go into the elden ring folder and copy the eldenring.exe and rename it to start_protected_game.exe while deleting the original one and then change the game priority to high in the task manager. Tbh i backtracked after running it once and restored the original, got scared I would get banned or something.

Thank you dude you made my day :D
It didn't really improve the performances for me but now that the anticheat is disabled by renaming the .exe ennemies don't dissapear anymore.
(If anybody else is looking this thread for help it will not work if you just open eldenring.exe in steam's folder, you need to rename it like in the reddit post.)

I'm so glad it worked for you. Enjoy Elden Ring, hopefully they will come out with a patch for better performance.

I turned A-Sync Compute back on inside of Cyber Engine Tweeks and it plays like the advertisement. I can see far and wide in detail. All enemies are there and it's a masterpiece.

How would I get this cyber engine tweaks? What exactly is it, definitely made me curious, my view distance isn't as amazing as i would like when it comes to enemies.

Isn't Cyber Engine Tweaks a mod for Cyberpunk 2077? How'd you get it to work for Elden Ring?

say, if i launch the game in offline mode to avoid anti-cheat from launching and doing nothing but setting the priority for elden ring to above normal or high in the task manager, will i then be able to turn the internet back on and be able to go online and retain those settings and without getting into trouble?

it says access denied for me as well when i try to change priority, which is odd.

My gaming PC gets wonky at times. I left it on went in turned it off and several things happened. The enemies showed up at distance and didn't fade out during combat, also it was showing full 2560 x 1080 without the letterboxes on the sides... Just went to play now the enemies are invisible. I'm upgrading Monday and all should be solved by Thursday.

What made me think of it was popping open CPU-Z and seeing 4 cores 4 threads. I tested afterwards and it registered normally. I also reset the bios after turning it off. I have the parts gotta pick-up a 5600x and I'm good to go.
