Immunity to fall damage talisman glitch

Talisman - renders wearer immunity to fall damage. Me: Does nothing but takes fall damage. POS does not work. nice. Called cat tail something

Is it supposed to be activated somehow or something....

It's effect is almost exactly like the Cat Ring from previous souls games - it does not negate falls that would kill you, only falls that would cause dmg.

Is that useful in Elden Ring? So far as I've played it feels like you either don't take fall damage after a generous distance compared to DS, or you die. The window for taking damage but living seems pretty small, like I have gotten hurt from drops, but usually it's all my health or none of it.
