Gold summon sign in offline game?

I have ER set to always be offline. Tonight I came across a gold summon sign that had an option for me to click on and looked like summon someone (kinda looked like a hologram). I’d never seen one before. Is it a bug or can those appear in offline games? This one was right by the king dude at Morne Castle. At first I thought it was for a npc but looked more like a player so I didn’t activate it.

there is npc that you can summon that look and act a bit like player , just as you can also get invade by those kind of npc that look and act like player

if you see a golden sign and you didnt use the multiplayer item to see the player sign ( even more in offline dah ) its 100% a npc

Thanks for info! That’s good to know. I ended up not killing that boss so now I’ll go back and use the help. I absolutely didn’t use any item. Elsewhere I’d encountered a red npc invader which freaked me out before realizing what it was but didn’t know there was npc summons too.

Thanks for info! That’s good to know. I ended up not killing that boss so now I’ll go back and use the help. I absolutely didn’t use any item.

there is a good portion of those npc across the game , sometimes you need to have found the npc and talk to them prior for their sign appearing into your game tho.

I’ll keep a watch out for them. I was able to go back and summon that npc to help me beat that mini boss. Thanks again!
