NPC's don't follow the same rules
Come across the AI invaders and realized they've got a set amount of health not dedicated by the armour they're wearing, they're not affected by weight by equipped items and have unlimited stamina. Going up against these fights just feels cheap as if going up against a cheater. Why is this a thing?

If AI enemies played by the same rules as the player they would be insanely easy.
Not really.. That's where the AI design comes into play. Games like Code Vein is spammy as all hell when it comes to their npc's but at least they follow a somewhat reasonable ruleset with cooldowns at least and a logical attack speed here it's just quickly spamming abilities without any limitations for the sake of it. That's artificial difficulty and not mechanical difficulty.
NPC invaders are no different than any other mob in the game. Think of it like a mini-boss. They have a predictable pattern and at least with npc invaders, you can stunlock them until they roll away. Attack, dodge, attack, repeat. It's simple.

The AI is pretty braindead already. It just walks/runs up to you and initiates attack patterns. Stamina would just make them easy targets.

Besides, they don't have health potions!
um...... yes they do...... Have you never faced an NPC invader? They 100% DO have healing flasks and they will use them.

I believe they are "set difficulties". For example the giant jar has you fight those 3 invaders and they have like 6k hp easy which I think they are end game. I would like what I consider BS to be tonned down a little for example:
If you hit a solider with his crossbow out he skips frames and just has sword/Warpick out.
Knocking knights/raider off there horse they fall to the ground but if you hit them once they skip frames and just stand.
Posion from those singing bats and perfumers explosive powder all go threw walls.
enemy shields do not seem to work how they should for example the first tree sentinal(starting zone)wields a big as shield and it does nothing but an attack animation not blocking at all. This is also considered for Tree sentinal at the front of the capital.

Right though NPC Invaders is the specific NPC mentioned it's something like you said all npc's does hence the main title of the post. I want some mechanical difficulty not artificial difficulty, I want something that is actually hard rather than just wait for when the NPC stops spamming for whatever reason. Add mechanics add a resource make the player think and give them stuff to work with and around rather than just have the NPC spam everything on the bar until it loses or it wins. It's lazy and too easy when the annoyance of bs stops
Wait until you go against an NPC invader that can't be bled out :steamsad:

So far fighting the AI invaders has been some of my highlights. I don’t feel they’ve been unfair. I’ve fought about 5 up to this point.

It's an AI. It's another player-sized enemy. Are you seriously telling me that you can't kill an NPC? Are you seriously struggling this hard against an AI that you had to make a post about it? Out of everything to complain about, you decide to complain about NPC invaders being unfair? It's just another enemy in the game.

Add mechanics and add resources to make the player think? Were you looking for a puzzle game? I don't understand.

You're complaining about one of the easiest encounters in the game. NPC invaders can be spammed out with r1's and magic it's not even a challenge. If you're struggling to dodge their attacks then I have a hard time figuring out how you made it 100+ hours into the game.
dont forget about the NPC invaders who get literally 10,000 HP, and can do as much damage as the final boss.

NPC invaders are so easy to beat, though. I've killed quite a number of them with +1 weapons, unupgraded flasks, at level 20. They may not follow all the same rules, but they will always take the same actions over and over. They don't do any tricky stuff and you can easily bait them into getting hit. Also, they dodge as a spell is cast, rather than when the spell goes off. Use a delayed spell and they won't avoid it. I'm honestly disappointed at how easy it is to kill them.
jesus christ they also don't have a functioning brain. defeat your foe
And don't forget the NPCs with infinite magic! Looking at you, Preceptor Miriam!

Amazing how many people can't be bothered to look up the original quotes as to why invasions were originally created. To paraphrase the man himself, Invaders (even the NPC ones) were designed to be special challenges to break players from their monotonous habits that keep them generally safe.

Invaders are there to ♥♥♥♥ with you. They always have been. NPC variants too.

FYI, you can jump spam most of them to death without issue.

Ye that's the problem all NPC's are the same hence why I labelled the post as I did. The game isn't hard, it's gotten to a point where it's just boring and I jump on when I feel like I need a braindead moment to just not use my brain to kill some bosses and then move on. The entire point is where I want an actual difficult game not just spam. It's boring, bs and easy. Give me something difficult. The most tries I've needed on a boss is 5 with gargoyles because of the constant poison spam. The moment the spamming takes just a slight break the game becomes childs play.

I love how me complaining about wanting more difficulty in the game rather than just braindead spam is making people mald out 😂
