how do i reset npc aggro?

I attacked the guy at the rose church I thought it was a mob not a talkable npc. HELP

That NPC is for fighting one of the secret shardbearers. I killed him on my second run and can't complete the quest now. You could try leaving and reseting the area or loading a save, but just leaving might not work.

I'm THINK there is a church somewhere where you can pray and pay runes to bribe NPCs to forgive you, but I forget exactly where it is

North-east of the 2nd area after Stormveil Castle. Follow the eastern road until you see the northern large broken bridge to the west of the road. It's up on a hill south-east of that northern large broken bridge.
