About the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
Anyone have success getting this to work for this game?

Really planning on getting this game very soon just wondering if anyone had any luck.

EDIT: Found a fix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkXdNIir2MQ

Steam>Setting>Controller>General Controller Settings

I saw an extra controller called vjoy device if you see it then go to Device Manager>Human Interface Devices> then disable vjoy device

then you should be able to use the switch controller but this should work on all controllers though if you dont have vjoy that shows up in the controller settings and something else watch the video cause its more stuff to it if you dont have it.

yes, it works fine for me over Bluetooth. I believe Steam swaps the buttons so the prompts are correct as well (Y = Y, etc.).

I've been playing with mine via bluetooth and it's been going great.

Works for me, though I have a wired one.

Even Steam's button layout swap option works on it.

My primary PC intergrated bluetooth doesn't pick up the Switch controller so I have it wired to via USB C and it works perfectly. BT works on my secondary PC with a USB BT dongle and it works great. So if you have issues with BT you can hard wire it.

Mine doesn't work, so you're not alone. I'm on a laptop. Works with everything else.

I haven't gotten past the first screen yet. I know the game is detecting my controller because when I hold down the home button (house icon) I can do the following:

* pull right trigger: left click
* move right joystick: control mouse cursor

I know this is a widespread problem because I've looked at sooo many articles and posts about this. People like to say "well it works for me so it's a you problem" but it's not just a me problem.

People shouldn't have to go through HID devices or unplug all of their ♥♥♥♥ to get a controller working for one game (where that same controller works w/ plug and play for everything else).

Good to know thanks guys.

I use to play some games on steam and emulators and my pc picked it up I was just curious thats all since i heard some people had trouble its good to see it working for others though.

nintendo pro controller works on any steam game (where a controller is usable) out of the box

steam inherently treats it as an xbox controller, and knows to swap the ABXY buttons to match the controller's layout

the only issue you may run into is when a game has a UI visual for your controller to help with what to press, such as metal gear rising

if it isn't working, its a problem with your PC and what configs you have setup. because, again, steam has native support for the pro controller

I had this Bluetooth issue too - had to connect the ASUS supplied WiFi antenna for integrated Bluetooth to work (otherwise it's not needed on my PC)

If my controller works on every game except this one, then the problem is my computer? This doesn't make any sense. We shouldn't have to fiddle with HIDs and peripherals to get a gamepad to work on one program where it otherwise works on all others.

Launch the game, once you're on the menu, turn on your controller. That worked for me

I really wanted this to work and was prepared to be embarrassed, but alas it did not :/ thanks though

I also tried (in the menu) turning the bluetooth on and off and turning the control back on. You can try that but still, what worked for me was the above thing. I hope this works or at least you find a solution

It's works fantastically aside from target swapping whilst locked-on. Swapping is barely functional at best in my experience.

Yeah unfortunately it doesn't work in big picture nor does it work in desktop. :/

no dice--oh well. I'll wait a couple of days for a fix and then refund it if one doesn't materialize. I'm spending too much time on this.

Thanks anyways y'all
