You have three people here.
Fans like me that just wanted more Dark Souls content
Fans hyped about the hype
Fans Excited about a real AAA title vs the rush 10% complete trash that became a standard over the last 10-years.
Without being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MMO where you click the man until he fall over
Dear Esther is a walking simulator.
>souls game
>walking simulator vibe
the gameplay. the graphics. the environment. the desolation. the atmosphere... its basically perfect. the game is the LEAST walking simulator game ever made. play it before assuming things like that.
Its one of the few games out there that give you a serious sense of accomplishment + Open World. Think BOTW but if it was not designed for 8 year olds, and has a decent difficulty curve
your opinion =\= others opinions
Because people like different things and sometimes a lot of people like a thing that you don't like.
That's the beginning and end of it.
Dark Souls 1 is a great game overall, good level design, one of my favorite games
Dark Souls 2 has the best and most in-depth PvP
Dark Souls 3 is more of 1 but a bit washed out in my opinion. Really polished though
Bloodborne has amazing atmosphere and setting, exploring never felt the same for me
Sekiro is a very different game but the combat is extremely challenging and fun, yet simple. Extremely polished too.
Demon's Souls still holds up, the remake shows how it's not just a prototype but just as good
All of those games have a lot of love put into them. I'm not the biggest Elden Ring fan so far but I'll wait until the performance is fixed. Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1 were one of the best single player experiences I had.
But like I said dont get a game just for hype or a trend, give it a try for a bit of time, also keep in mind there are people that dont like certain niches also so keep that in mind, you don't need neccesarely to agree with any game that comes out.
