I killed Sorceress Sellen - am I locked out of Ranni's quest line?

Earlier in my playthrough I found Sellen in a dungeon, imprisoned in ice. Talking to her didn't do anything, so I tried to free her by hitting her with my weapon. She turned hostile and I put her down.

Many hours later, while doing the quest for Ranni the Witch, I was asked to bring Sellen a letter to progress. That's not going to happen so I can't find out how to enter the upper section of Siofra River.

How do I get there without Sellen's help?

iirc Sellen merely suggests that you should kill Radahn, so doing that may let you progress that quest line without her advice

Same situation here, I have the letter but she's still locked there. I got absolution to make her friendly again, but I still can't free her or give the letter.
So Ranni's quest is locked now?

did exact same thing yet after he told me to talk to her she was back at first place i met her.

Location where the Giant flower was above her at the ruins...cant remember name offhand is slightly past the bridge in limgrave where the giants are pulling the cart behind them.
