But holy cow I didn't think of the Deck. For a game to be verified it should have Cloud Save, otherwise what's the point for us PC gamers? We want to play our games at home and anywhere else, and if I can't continue my game on the go I really can't see the point.

SteamDB states the files that are saved into the clouds are:

PC Gaming Wiki says the save file is named ER0000.sl2.

Darks Souls 3 has Steam Cloud *however* it has the options ignoreexternalfiles and hidecloudui enabled which basically prevent it from working.
Elden Ring doesn't have these enabled so it should work.
