Only controller sticks work
I have tried 3 types of Game Controllers and each and everyone did not work, only the left and right sticks seem to send a signal to the game.
Anyone figured a solution?

For me, it was the game using the Steam Desktop Configuration instead of the in game configuration. I had to disable the Xbox Configuration Support in the Steam settings and use the Default Settings in the Elden Ring controller settings.

Tried your solution. Did not work in my case.

I have this EXACT same problem. I have two controllers, an XBox series X controller [the red daystrike camo model I got from Walmart] and a cheaper GameSir I got off Amazon.

The Gamesir works fine on Elden Ring when I have the wireless dongle attached (the same type of wireless dongle that comes with a wireless mouse).

The XBox controller works fine when connected with USB, but when I connect with Bluetooth, only the joysticks work. The buttons (X,Y,A,B and the triggers) don't work. The central Xbox button still works while playing Elden Ring and brings up the Windows Xbox screenshot/screen recording controls.

The thing is it's not my computer. The problem is with Elden Ring, since the Xbox controller works fine when connected via Bluetooth to play Spelunky. Spelunky plays fine and all the buttons work.

Furthermore, the Dark Souls Remastered ALSO works with the Xbox controller connected w/Bluetooth. But Elden Ring does not.

From Software needs to copy and paste their Dark Souls Remastered code. So I think. Maybe it's a Steam problem. I don't know.

This is crazy dude. I tried using a DS4, A switch Pro Controller and the Xbox One Controller. All share the same problem. Holy s&*( this is crazy
