Don't go in there if you have lots of runes, you will lose them.
This abomination of a boss is absoluetly terrifying. An extremely oversized worm-like creature with arms and lightning breath, with it's speed and agility, it throws itself at you just at the beginning of the fight. The camera does not allow to really read what it is gonna do next, it bends, rolls, slithers around you and by the time you throw in a swing or two it took a leap to the the ceiling preparing its next killing move when it comes down. Even staying close proves to be oftenly fatal, as it stomps at you, swings its tail at you or swiftly grabs you, at which point it is over.

I didn't expect THAT thing down there, but it makes sense considering the entrance was sealed and they took other measures on the way down.

apparently some statues do need 2 keys

If OP managed to open it at the start of the game with one its a bug.

it only needs one key, i opened it right after the start with the free key from character creation. there is not a single instance in the whole game where two keys are needed. if you needed 2 keys, than that would be a bug.

Round table second door requires 2 keys.

I've run into at least 3 statues that take 2 keys. The intro area, the Round table, and another place I forgot.

after fighting Rahdan if you follow the rock wall on the North East to the edge of the water there is a Dungeon, the boss there is a version that breathes scarlet rot. Have Fun.

And you can dodge the most obvious attacks as well.
