Hey there, sorry I didn't see your comment until now. So, I figured out that it was my PS4 controller. When I went into the Steam controller calibration I saw that the left stick dead zone was small and looked great, almost no movement, but the right stick was spazzing out at random intervals, and only in an up direction, which caused my camera to look up and my map to zoom in constantly.
I plugged in an Xbox One controller I had lying around and it works fine.
