Game Pad issues
Hello Community
I have an issue with the Game Pad(s).
none of them seem to work.
I tried a few tutorials, also unplugged mouse and keyboard, but no use.

does anyone have the same issues and some useful solutions ?

I had an issue with my ps4 controller a while back, steam (and most games) were unable to detect it. I used an app called ds4 windows to get it working.
However, now steam detects it just fine so I don´t know if this helps.

Welcome to my nightmare. I've tried every single 'fix' available online, and nothing makes this game see any of my controllers. I'm waiting to see if they patch it, and if not, refund it is.

Xbox controllers are still not working for people. Mine doesn't work wired or bluetooth. I can play Dying Light 2 just find with it. Fromsoft needs to stop screwing the pooch and fix the one thing that let's people actually play their game. KB/M on their games is assssss. I'll take the stuttering all day if I can just play the actual game.

There are configs out there for controllers that remap the keyboard...this kinda works, but is really wonky with how menus are setup. Like right thumbstick is back instead of B and stuff.

I don't wanna say I'm glad it's not just me, as others also aren't able to enjoy it.

But, I am glad it isn't just me. Lol

The current "fix" is to unplug all input peripherals before launching the game and it should recognize the controller. You will need to be in steams "Big Picture" mode before unplugging , making sure you have enabled the correct config support in steam settings. If you have a virtual controller platform installed (i.e. VJoy) it must be uninstalled before launching. Also you will need to do this every time you want to play the game. Hoping From Soft will fix this issue because I'm not crawling under a desk each time I want to play this game.

Tried all that several times with four different controllers, wired and wireless. Still doesn't work for me. And I'm already sick of crawling under my desk!

This is a shot in the dark here, but I've seen some players removing extra HIDs (Human Input Device) from their Device Manager.

Please see this video for a player experiencing similar issues with gamepad not recognizing specifically in Elden Ring:
