Anyone with a r9 280/290 or GTX 780 that can run the game?

I have an older GPU (r9 280) and I get the white screen crash on launch.

Upon reading a bit I found this in a Youtube comment: "Elden ring uses directx12 (12_0) and surely your graphics card supports directx 12 normally, but not the function level requirements of this version, which are (12_0 and 12_1) of DirectX 12, in the start menu put dxdiag and run it and in the tab: screen / controllers look at their feature levels."

And when I googled my GPU(r9 280) it said this: "Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_1, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles."

So is this why I can't play?
It seems many people get the white screen crash for a bunch of different reasons but maybe older GPU's will not be able to run the game at all. If so it will be the first game I've tried that I can't even launch.

That seems to be the limit. Any cards older than the 900 series for Geforce will not run the game.

I would say yeah 970m is prob as low as you can go with it maybe the 960m since the 900 series range is anywhere from 1050ti to 1070 and 980 ti sli is about 1080 range.

GTX 780 is completely incompatible.
R9 280 is GCN 1st Gen, Feature Level 11_1. Incompatible.
R9 290 is GCN 2nd Gen, as far I can tell does support 12_0. I don't know what the driver situation is however.

You must use Amernime zone driver for old GNC cards, because AMD no longer support these cards.

Just don't expect good performance because if you are using a grandpa card I imagine your grandma CPU will almost certainly let you down.

Also you can try to use that Vulkan API thing on Nexusmods.com, which might give you some advantage.
