I'm finally free of this piece of crap from software calls a game. I can't believe people paid 60
$ for this, and frankly what amazes me is that corporate drones still defend it.
It is very simple, I buy a product, I expect it to work. and in this case, its not. Before somebody asks, I have hardware way better than the recommended requirements. The game has compiling issues, that means even the best hardware may experience performance problems.
I suggest everyone having issues and don't want to play the game in its current state, refund it. That will put pressure on From. You lose nothing, plus if they fix it in the future, you can buy it again. simple.

I feel bad for you guys that couldnt fix the problem, mine was black squares all over the screen and fps issues at the start of the game which I fixed by setting elden ring to high performance and updating my drivers. Im not gonna defend this obvious mess of a release but im not gonna refund a product that is working perfectly fine for me right now. Hope patches come soon so you can enjoy the game once again in the near future.

I've just requested a refund too so I sympathise. Paying that amount, or any amount, you expect a working product. If they fix it in the future I'll certainly purchase it again to show my support...

I refunded the pc version, and got it on ps5. Its better overall, and my ps5 controller work properly and shows the button inputs in game.

iv notice latly in recent games that the newst graphics card seem to ahve issue with some games.. including this one.. i myself down own one of the new cards yet i dont have any problem compare to my best mate who pc is god teir but the stuttering in elden ring in unbearable for him, he recently today reput his old card in and is currently playing without any stuttering.

Yup, refunded and bought PS4 version. It runs at a solid 60FPS stutter free on a PS5. I have no time for jank.

Fromsoft needs to be taken down along with all of their games. Dark Souls games are broken anti-consumer products. They cause frustration even if you get them to work.

Tech like Vsync causes some of the problems. You need to disable refresh throtling using your cards software.

I dont have the recomended requirements and barely have any lag on max settings (My CPU is pretty much outdated). I guess they fix these problems pretty fast, its nothing new for new games to have these kind of problems. I keep enjoying myself with this game :D

i got a rtx 3060 the only problem i have is this random slow/stuttering though its not frequent

I have an rx 580 and have only seen about 5 stutters in like 14 hrs of gameplay so I"m not having any serious issues I really feel for those that are though.

But ps4 and ps5 players have reported problems with stutter and drops in fps too. I already saw comparison videos for all platforms and nobody is staying at a solid 60 frames. So with all do respect im going to say here what i said on the reddit page (that immediately got me a bunch of downvotes} and that is i think most people are lying to themselves and or others about the stat of the game. I think people are so caught up in the hype/greatness of the game that they are just accepting this crap. I just don't understand how, why or even when people decided it was acceptable for a AAA souls game dubbed a masterpiece that is possibly the greatest game of all time, to have random stuttering and unstable fps.
