Nioh is basically Dark Souls with more action-packed combat and Diablo-like loot drops. Very highly recommended.
Usually I get a talisman or an ash, both can be very powerful. Not sure why you get nothing.
Apart from that, usually people kill bosses just for the accomplishment, not for the loot, and exploring is its own reward (at least for people who like open worlds).
Ya, I for sure killed all enemies in every room and killed the boss at the end. One room had 4 creatures in it and I killed them all and I was like well that room was pointless, I didn't even need to go that way, so I went back and down the other path.
Finally got to the boss and it was some big ass creature with a huge weapon that swung across half the room when he attacked, He was pretty tough but I got him. It said "enemy felled" or something like that on the screen.
There was a thing on the ground that said return to entrance so I went on that and left the dungeon with nothing. Just thought to myself, "That was a waste of 20 minutes"
But like I said, I'll go back to those later.
Is there a chance that sometimes they drop items but sometimes they won't drop anything and I got unlucky then?
You get far less than needed for levelling from the entire dungeons prior to the castle.
the boss from the dungeon you mentioned, Stormfoot catacombs always drops "Noble Sorcerer Ashes" directly into your inventory, you likely didn't notice. Most bosses drop their loot this way, as opposed to the shining interactable light orbs regular enemies drop.
Loot = Weaponarts from DS3
Armors = 1% of DS3 variety
Mobs = Reused from DS3 with very few new ones, also reused DS3 attacks/movement.
The only new stuff seems to be spells but who wants to play this clunky magic system? Noone.
I'll post if I get anything if any of you care and are curious. Thanks everyone.
Oh god... I can't even get out of this tutorial zone.... I guess this game really isn't for me.
