Its a brand new controller and many people are reporting the same problem. It's not on my end. It's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fact the game has forced v-sync.
Dodge is literally programmed to have a delay. If it feels like you're getting cheated, it's probably because you are. Dodge happens when you RELEASE the button, until every other game in existence where you dodge/dash on button PRESS. It has to have a delay because it's also the sprint button. Why not make dodge and sprint two different buttons? Well, the only answer is, the devs never got good at their job.
Not a single competent action game, Hades, Hollowknight, Ori, Dead Cells, etc, has deliberate movement lag, but Elden Ring does.
V-sync adds like 6ms to your response time lol, are you The Flash?
The HEAVIER your EQUIP LOAD is, the slower or more delay the dodge will have. However the LOWER your EQUIP LOAD is the faster you dodge.
Just because you have brain dead reflexes doesn't mean I do. I have bought a 1ms refresh rate screen for a reason.
You really have no idea how it works do you. There is no delay from when the dodge starts. The load only determines how far you go. The input delay is the exactly the same between them all.
