Red Square under my health bar.

I have a red square symbol with a down arrow under my health bar, and i also have one with an up arrow. I know this one is from a talisman that increases my health, so the one with the down arrow must be decreasing it. My question is, what is making me have less health. I unequipped everything and i still have it...

If you use the hug bonus it should give you your health back.
You can always go back for more hugs if you want more hug bonuses

Is there not somewhere in the menu to just look at your current status effects?
I can't seem to find a way, but there should be one, right?

I used the hug bonus and still have the red square, but now there is another symbol that increase poise i guess.

Nevermind it just dissapeared.

Nah, these games don't let you see your status effects, you just have to be perceptive and figure out what's causing the changes on your own. Normally I don't mind, but it's weird to me that you can't view status effects when the game is ALSO shoveling tutorials down my throat all the time.
