golden/red effigy vs the fingers themself?

Whats the difference? I know the finger will send a pvp or coop message on the floor but what about the effigy?

And what about those remedies too like what are all those

The tarnish's furled finger lets you drop a sign at your feet, the effegy sends you sign to the little statue at the start of a dungeon so if say, you're a ways in and your buddy dies and respawns, you don't have to walk back to drop sign.

The red fingers work just like cracked red eye orbs.

the remedies are embers, they let you see summon signs

Ahh so theres another item that isnt unlimited to invade people, but you can also challenge people in a 1v1 and they can "accept" your red mark?
