HDR washed out
Enabling HDR makes the menues extremely ugly and washed out, almost like the gamma/colorspace is wrong. Anyone else have HDR working or have any idea of what causes this? Is it a bug maybe? It looks too ugly to be intentional.

edit: Finally found the solution. It was a combination of my multi monitor setup and nvidia image scaling. If I disable my secondary monitor the game works with both HDR and image scaling at the same time. So, all good!

Worked fine yesterday/night when I played, same issue as you now.

Ok, maybe patch 1.02 messed with stuff then?

I confirmed now that playing in SDR, the game looks rich and contrasty in the first cave, while with HDR it looks washed out and ugly. Setting my HDMI tranfser to low blacks helps somewhat but still looks wrong.

Only tried it today. Q70T+3060ti. I confirm, it's broken. Playing SDR now.

having the same issue. HDR was working, and now it's extremely washed out.

!00% same issue. I'm glad I found this post. I was beginning to think it was local to my system. #miserylovescompany

How do you get the settings to even turn it on as soon as i do it goes from off to on , plus it auro switches on on my monitor when i start the game.

That's basically the effect I get on my second screen (HDR600) when I play HDR games on that one. It's caused by insufficient brightness of the screen. Haven't had that problem on my HDR1400 main screen.

ER has a color correction option and max brightness slider once you entered the game. There you can correct HDR discoloration.

HDR has been working great for me since I adjusted it in game. I turned the max brightness down to my preferred setting (defaulted to 1000 nits), and upped the brightness and saturation by one tick. These options were not available to me until I was in and playing the game.

Does it work better on a tv? Going to try now. Also wondering if I need to turn on HDR in windows first. What are you guys doing? Are you turning that on in windows or just in the game?

I have both HDR options on; in game, and win10 settings. It was washed out until I alt-tabbed out, and back into the game.

I remember having to do this with Seriko also.

Really? That's odd. I'll have to try that. I wonder if setting the game to hdr and then restarting the game would fix it too.

wow guys. Just turn off the windows hdr. That game has his own option in his menu.
for some reason, the menus look like trash with HDR on, but ONLY if your resolution is below 4k. pop it up to 4k and everything looks fine.
