Low GPU usage
If anyone can help me, thank you in advance.
So, I don't know the reason, but my GTX 1070 is only using 70% max and i can't get the 60fps because of that, it always stays at 50fps. I have a i7-6700K which is also at 50% max usage. Also have 16GB ram. Really don't know what the problem is. I'm not getting any stutters. the problem is really the fps that doesnt go to 60fps.

same on a 1080ti. You aint the only one
Darkfrostfall Feb 25, 2022 @ 6:06am
check your cpu utilisation, my 3060ti was at 20% with my cpu at 25%, because ONE SODDING THREAD on my cpu was being used at 99% while the other 11 were completely idle

Same specs, same issue over here :P
Lowering the resolution and settings does nothing to solve it

Same here on rtx 2060 it is so frustrating

set Elden Ring.exe to maximum performance in Nvidia control panel.

This game tends to max out one core while barely using others

wow, a whole 70%
my gtx 1060 is barely using 5% for this game

That's why the minimum was zen2, because older ryzen processors don't have the single threaded performance of zen 2. they can easily manage modern games that use multi-threading

You know what's funny? If I max out the graphics, I get a better performance overall, but the gpu goes at 90% max, never 98-99% usage. But I do get 60fps sometimes. And about the cpu usage. All my cores are at max 73% but most of the times it all stays at 60%. Don't know if that's the issue...

Same issue same CPU but with a 2060 super. No patches yet and likely never.

with the game closed
nvidia control panel by right clicking your desktop
manage 3d settings to the left
program settings in the middle, not global.
CUDA- set to your gpu ONLY
power management- set to perfer maximum performance
save/apply at the bottom right, start the game up

borderless window mode, not full screen

Thanks but no nothing changed it was already set that way. I think something about the Skylake is incompatible with whatever this engine wants the CPU to do. Specially in areas with lots of grass and trees or particles.

AMD Ryzen 3 3100 4-Core Processor 3.59 GHz 1030 geforce nividia, 800x600 and it still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lags or crashes, on windowed or borderless. its the damn game

Yeah resolution change does barely anything to fps. The game is just not using the CPUs properly.
