Went to update my dead zones in steam big picture mode and the right thumbstick is legitimately wiped out. If I tap it just a little bit it flies straight to the top.
So controller ended up being bad, which is insane since it's an xbone controller I bought in october (like 6 months ago). What a piece of trash.
they dont make em like they used too :/
I have had a few Xbox Pro Controllers, over the last few years, and when they all break within a year of purchase i grab my classic 360 controller, which has seen so much use the sticks are starting to fall to bits, but every button and stick is aligned perfectly and works great xD
1, basically no deadzone on right stick
2. xbox has cheaped out on potentiometer's since the xbox 360
if you search gamepad tester (website) try flicking the stick a few times, you'll probably see it flick back up at some point which is the drift you are experiencing,
it's probably just a strand of hair or some dust, id suggest compressed air or cleaning out with isopropyl
