In the round table maybe? That's not actually a player, I don't think it's even required to fight him.

You can't.
On Dark souls games, you choose Multiplayer+Coop OR offline.

thanks. sucks, but then again, who needs friends when you can have a decent single player experience. just noticed that on a positive note all those immersion breaking messages are gone now too that i am offline, so there's another benefit.

If you were able to stay online, play coop, but prevent invasions, it would be far too easy. These games are supposed to be difficult. Invasions are just part of it. I remember RAGING when I would get invaded in the first Dark Souls game. But after a while I got used to it. And eventually, I began to enjoy that facet of the game. I suggest you try to adapt to this function of the game. Unless you aren't used to the Souls games. In that case, it may be so difficult it ruins your joy. And then maybe just git gud and then go back online once you're a bit better at the game.
That's the trade off for co-op. You outnumber the invader, so I don't see what the big deal is.

(Note: this is coming from someone who isn't the biggest fan of getting invaded, especially in early game areas).

Edit: if you want my advice, just go through the areas solo until you reach the boss, and fight the boss together. The open world section is pathetically easy, and the dungeons aren't much harder. It seems it was designed that way intentionally so that they could make the bosses ball-bustingly hard.

thanks, that sounds like a sensible way to go about it. however, do i need to restart when i switch between online and offline`? because just now i switched to offline and sitll got invaded. i mean, i simply alt-f4ed because why give him a fight, but still, i thought it would turn invasions off? or do i have to block traffic for the game on the system level?

You have to quit out to the title screen and load back in for it to take effect.

You can turn it off. Which is precisely what i did. I never accepted to deal with pvp, and I no longer have to. Go into System and in the Online settings, choose to play not online.

Bam no more insufferable socially mal-adapted problems.

just kill them. im not very good at this game but most invaders have 0 chance when outnumbered. just dont let them focus down one person. dont run directly at them when they're obviously baiting for a big aoe or trying to hide behind monsters. i have had maybe 1 or 2 invaders out of hundreds that have actually put up a real fight.
oh lmao thread is from a million years ago wtf ?

That wasn't telling someone off, it was a simple statement. Stop looking to be combative.
