bandit class sucks ?
I have been doing literally no dmg to margit and the frame windows and hitboxes are really strange (like they are broken), I don have luck even with the blood dagger of the invader, should I just start another char with better weapons?

What level is your character?

I had to go and do dungeons on the rest of the Map before coming back to that boss.

Played the warrior priest class, can't remember name.

Im 16 right now, should I go higher than that? also does the great knife just suck as a weapon? I mean I like the weapon art of it but his dmg his so poor, dont wanna invest on it if it sucks ass, currently is in 1+

i used a bleed weapon, and i just parried the ♥♥♥♥ out of him. try finding a small shield with parry because he is super easy to riposte and bleed. it might take a few attempts but its a good strategy to play for effects like bleed in this game given the ridiculously low weapon damage
edit: the weapon was the flail

kay, gonna stick with parry shield then, also, should I ditch the great dagger? red dagger one seems to do alot of dmg but doesn't scale that great in dex

I am playing Bandit and I found a straight sword that has a higher base dmg. The reach is what was killing me. Now I'm killing stuff just fine except for the armored spear footmen. I was able to kill one of the giant guys as well. The knife does kinda suck.

So... there's many places to explore before going to fight Magrit.

You should also this game is meant to be played differently. You're not really supposed to mash the light attack button. Heavy attacks will at some point allow you to do a critical on him.
You can also block with your shield and do a counter attack. There's also jump attacks.

You can try to get ashes of war, or summons to help.
You can explore and try to upgrade your weapon.

yeah! i been doing the jumping and charged attacks, to stagger him, the thing is the dagger base dmg is just abismaly low, don't know if it gonna do a difference if I upgrade it to +3

Try dual wielding both daggers you got and atacking with L1. You can apply bleeding fast even to Margit

There are allot of decent dex weapons to choose from, including a katana you can get. I would at least try to find a couple of different dex weapons and if you dont like any of them, then you can restart and try another character.

My character is lvl 24 (I think), and I still can't kill Margit. Closest I've gotten is <25%.

Everything I'm reading says the bandit is almost op unless you try to play it like a wow hunter.

Just saying souls games don't really have a lvl "recommendation". You can beat everything at any level with enough practice. Beat margit lvl 14 using wretch and the longsword the knights drop upgraded once.

Best advice I can give you is try and analyze what attack kills you the most and how to counter that. I recommend against using the co op sum as it doubles margits health and the mfk sorcerer does 0 damage. Also remember that staggering in this game is OP so use your heavy attacks oftenly.

killed margit guys, I had to go with uchi this time to and summon the wolfs tho, following the same path of bleeds it did a lot of dmg and kinda helped me the fact that I somewhat undertood the posture mechanic and staggering foes, Im gonna give a try to reduvia this time and try to get the same results on staggering bosses

try to implement more r2 heavy attacks in the windows where you can attack the boss, and for the fast combos of margit try to do guard counter his light attacks not the heavy ones, this way you gonna do a lot of posture damage, oh and try to do jumping r2 attacks too!

What is making me mad about Margit is the fact I have explored a bit and beat bosses that can be considered harder than him. I know his attacks are coming but the 60fps cap means a slight input delay and I can tell it is delayed because the move queues up right after I get hit. I will eventually get him through sheer luck or after I level my vigor up to 99 but either way I will get him.

you will eventually do it man, I wish there was a boss training like sekiro to just train these new mechanic that the game throws at you.
