Where are the spells?

Is there someone selling spells at the hub? I saw one selling incantations but not spells. I'm in the castle now and still only got homing magic sword spell from character creation. I can't even get a basic soul arrow spell. Just like ds3 so far the caster class feels trash to play.

For sorceries you need to explore a ruin somewhere in limgrave where you fight a boss in an underground chamber and afterwards you will unlock an NPC that will sell you spells, hint the location is next to a road

Thx I will leave castle and try to find the location. Can't believe there's no merchant selling basic spells.

Is this the one the note tells you about that you buy from a wandering merchant? Mentions something about a person in a ruin near a road? If it is, I had a feeling I should really go do that but decided I'll do it later.. I knew I should trust myself on that.

I didn't say the NPC is a wandering merchant. I said you get a note from one of them mentioning to go to a ruin near a road because there's someone there. I was saying is that "someone there" the NPC you're referring to?

I looked it up. They're in Waypoint ruins for anyone else wondering.

So I was right about the location. It's at a place called "Waypoint Ruins" Which is to the east of the lake near the start of the game. Just follow the road. One of the nomad merchants sells a note which mentions that you should go there.
