White dude here. Interesting, I always think a lot of games have an ok selection of what I see as black people hair. You've changed how I will see this for now on. Going to pay attention more in character select screens for now on.
But even more simply I would've liked a fade
Don't tell that to Western game developers who will definitely have African's randomly inserted into any medieval European environment.
The hairstyles are fine, I can very much understand and get behind complaining about black representation/treatment in older souls games like DS1 with the Catarina preset being rather steryotypical and none of the knights from Catatrina actually having dark skin, but their modern stuff seems fine to me.
Honestly this seems like a nonissue.
Please stop complaining about race all the time, all you're doing is making an issue out of nothing, we're all human so why divide ourselves like this.
All the hair in this game is asian people hair anyway..
For those that don't know, black people tend to have a type of hair that has to be treated differently since it loses moisture often and can break easily, which has led to a variety of hair styles designed to retain moisture and keep their natural curl pattern such as those with yarn braided in(which I've seen take hours). Besides that, blacks did exist back then even if they weren't super common in Europe.
Actually I did about twenty years ago.... it really means that almost any character you create can look a lot like you. So baldness has it's positives, not many, but they are there.
