Xbox One controller wont work?

Ive tried 2 different xbox one controllers and neither will work. I just played for 6 hours with the mouse and keyboard and its clear this game wasnt intended for that. do i have to buy a ps5 controller to actually play this game?

The mouse and keyboard layout and design is unbearable and has a delay to it, making fights incredibly hard

i disabled the hid game compliant controller driver and it started blue screening my pc when i connected my xbox controller, so dont use that solution, nor did unplugging all my usb devices. i've got no idea how to fix this myself so i guess everyone just waits.

Try turning off steam input to see if that helps.

Right click the game in your library and choose properties. Then go to "Controller" and where the drop down says "Use Default Settings" change it to "Disable Steam Input". For some games I find that it helps.

xbox elite 2 not working - tried every single "fix" available at the moment... NOTHING WORKS... and mouse/keyboard is a joke... to go back you need to right click mouse and select B button icon... i guess in 3 years of development they couldn't implement the ESC key... fcukers

youre definitely not the only one, and the delay is around 1 second for my mouse and keyboard in this game for some reason. its almost unplayable

setting my steam input to enabled fixed mine. on default setting xbox controller wasnt enabled while PS5/4 and SWITCH controller were enabled.

I envy you, I am trying to use an elite 2 controller and have tried this, among other things, to no avail. It is maddening.

I had a secondary keyboard plugged in and unplugging it fixed my problem. I'm not sure if it was just another input device conflicting with the game seeing the controller, but it worked for me.

For me it was my razer tartarus v2 keypad, without it the game recognized the xbox one controller.

yeah nothing fixes the controller issue, i guess they have to release some patch to fix this? because the game is next to impossible to play with this 1 second input delay on keyboard and mouse. been seeing others say they have a delay too, i figured something was up when fighting enemies

Once again From Software PC peripheral support is poorly implemented. I have to unplug both my Swiftpoint mouse and my Razer Tartarus to get my Xbox controller to be recognized in game.

I have tried all other fixes. this the only way it works for me

I had hoped for better this time. No other games I own have this issue. I have decided to NOT play this game until its fixed as its too disruptive to my non gaming activities.

Very disappointed.
