R2 (Heavy attack) not working.
I was trying to play Elden Ring with my DS4 controller, but R2 doesn't seem to be working. I tried to remap the strong attack button, but only the R2 button isn't recognised.

I've already checked if the controller is working with another software.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

You can try disabling Steam input, then using DS4 windows (also checking the Hide DS4 controller box from settings) to connect the controller. This worked wonders for me

Edit: lmao I thought my controller broke down for a sec until i tried it with DS3.

This worked for me, also changing the steam controller profile for the game to the 'Gamepad' under templates works too.

I found this solution on Reddit, it requires no DS4Windows. Can confirm it worked for me.

"Hey found a fix, go to Elden Ring in library, right click and manage>controller config then go to right trigger keybind and make the soft pull action right trigger also and make the soft pull point the lowest it can go and just in case change trigger response to aggressive. Got it working FINALLY."

I've read about this fix too, didn't work for me but the DS4W one did. I think these two are the only work-arounds known yet

Sry, for the late reply.
I fixed it by selecting the "gamepad" controller profile in the steam controller settings.
For some reason the default one for Elden Ring is broken for me.
