why does it matter to you what other gamers do? Just play your game and drink mt dew
I'll play with my real friends online or from the couch, no need for some random to let me experience things through a proxy.
its for the younger crowd. I personally do not watch them as I don't believe in supporting internet beggars.
I know people in the communities of streamers I watch who have met and ended up dating, or even getting married, because of the streams. Others have made years-long friendships with those they chat with.
I can see why people might not 'get it' if their only experience of streaming is some neon-haired a-hole lording it over ten thousand screaming edgelords, but a lot of it isn't like that. Personally, because I have found a bunch of small to mid-sized streamers who I enjoy, I stopped watching tv altogether several years ago. I now watch mostly streams, and a few YT videos before bed.
Edit: I'm 38, don't try to "get it", it's not for us anymore.
