GTX 970
Who will be playing with a GTX 970 and 8GB Ram? You think we can hit 60fps?

Its pure speculation, but based on the minimum specs, you will be probably hit 60fps on 720p.
Don't expect a wonder, maybe you can run it decent on low 900p if the performance issues aren't as prevalent.

Just wait until people do reviews with the same gpu

If you are serious that is below recommended and the game is said not even to start with 8 GB. Good luck though.

Yeah, pretty much this.

GTX970 can run the game. 8Gb of RAM based on reports we have so far IS VERY PROBLEMATIC. Take everything before testing yourself with a grain of salt, of course, but RAM seems 12Gb minimum indeed.

Lock the game to 30 at high settings. 60 not achievable, so it's better to achieve stable 30. You could try 45 FPS but only if you have a high refresh rate freesync monitor that goes that low.

According to at least one review (https://news.yahoo.com/elden-ring-wretch-review-150209545.html) game won't boot with 8gb of RAM.

You can decide if that is true or not. Regardless, i just went into overdraft to get an extra 8GB. Of DDR3, no less.

Wasn't really planning on that, but c'est la vie.

From what I've been hearing the visuals for the game aren't too much of a step up from DS3 the biggest issues I think most GPUs will have is just handling the amount of objects on screen at a time but even then, since it's a fromsoft game, they've probably added in their own tricks to make it load reasonably well.

What I do know is the game has a big ol problem with stutter and that's even on the beefiest GPUs at the moment, but the day one patch supposedly fixes it? I honestly haven't seen a souls game PC release that didn't suffer from stutter/optimization problems out the gate though. If you can get games like cyberpunk to run on your GPU then this one probably will run fine enough, although you might not hit 60fps unless you tweak it. :BL3Thinking: Here's hoping it's playable!

Oh man I hadn't read about that till now. That's gonna be rough for some folks. Thankfully ram sticks are pretty cheap on newegg but still.

Knowing the souls modding community, I wouldn't be surprised to see people getting it to work on lower than that down the line, though. But even that will take a lot of time and ini tweaking im sure...

I see some people claiming 970 is not fully compatible with dx12.
