No i actually didnt know.
Only knew that Dark Souls remastered was outsourced to QLOC (who also did a way better job with the PC port than FS)
Also, Elden Ring must run on PS4, so there's a compromise.
That being said, no tech will ever be replacement for From Software creative modeling, art and level design. Others are too far behind.
But why is that an argument against comparing these two?
Thats true, it wasnt meant to be flame against the game.
Im totally looking forward and cant wait until friday, but I was just wondering after seeing the light-effects in Demon Souls thinking how awesome they looked and how crisp all textures were.
It's not a step back. The density of Demon's Souls is big because the areas are exactly the same as they were on PS3, with a lot of added geometry and flaire.
The micro and macro detail is amazing, and the performance is superb.
But that wouldn't translate to open world very well. It's not a step back. Even if i like the art direction of DeS Remake, i still like the art direction of Elden Ring more.
