My guess: They're trying to avoid the gender-discussion by just giving us letters to choose from (why should a male-looking body always belong to a man) and that's how they did it. It's not ideal but I honestly don't get the anger.

not angry at all. I was confused, this was a thing. idc if it's included. won't detract from my enjoyment of the game and if it helps bring in new players, then why not.

Didn't mean you ;-) I meant those gender-fanatics that love to claim that "THeRe iS No ThIrD gEnDeR" because their mommy and daddy and their bible tells them as if they had some sort of claim over what other people feel or how they were born.
