I would like a modern Baldurs Gate or Diablo, which could be played for an obscene amount of hours, and never get old. Based on what people told me about this developer and their previous games, I am inclined to think this might be the game for just that.
I personally do a lot of game dev and software programming. It's really fun, and fills my time in abundant amounts. I highly recommend everyone to start doing it, because it allows you to do so much. The only true endless game is the one you make yourself.
Total war, paradox games, minecraft, M&B, Stardew etc. can be that long.
Soul games replayability mainly from the atmospheric part, similar to stalker games. Or if you into the nefarious PvP part, but I doubt it can last you 1000 hours.
Indeed. The young should go live and have fun. For me, I did my adventuring, been around the world, in two wars, and done doing all of those things. This old man is ready to game until he is in his grave.
GTA V has no building or crafting part, can't interact with the world or influence it any more than you can do in any of the other games, yet i easily have more than 2000 hours of playtime since 2015 on my social club. so there is no absolute rule.
Good for you, I run out of interest after a few hours because every aspect of GTA online have other game that dedicates to and excels in. But even with all those games added together cannot net me 1000 hours. I lose interest to repeated action too fast, so if I play a game 1000+ hours it probably means anyone else can too.
It took me about 600 hours to 100% the game.
Average FromSoft game gets me about 60 - 90 hours of enjoyment and then I come back to it every so often to re-experience the game.
