Does Elden Ring attract the "wrong" gamers?
Well everyone knows Dark Souls is hard and people who don't like it just avoid it.

But this twitch hyped open world game might attract Skyrim and Assassins Creed players and they will be shocked by the difficulty.

This is no Fallout or Far Cry with swords. You will die insanely often. It's for masochists.

When you die for 3 hours to the same mini boss like Asmongold you are even out of refund.

the problem is not the game

it's the person who shows their true colors when they feel they have anonymity

Sounds like a skill issue tbqh.

Oh Jesus, here we go.....YAH, I could beat this game from birth, I'm so awesome. Let us know when you've finished reaching around to pat yourself on the back for instantly knowing how to beat a game before you ever played it.
This response is a bit egregious, considering the reply string is a sarcastic aside to an old thread about enjoying watching people experience Souls/Borne/Ring for the first time. It was never conceived of malice. It is the moment that claims of it being "too hard" where "skill issue" generally is the correct criticism of the complaint. However, that's not important, considering you were never targeted at any point.

If you can't beat a game, it's because you haven't practiced enough. Practice develops skill.

It also means the devs can become extremely greedy and start making trash games like it already happened to many companies before

Blizzard, Square Enix, Ubisoft, EA.. basically every triple A company that isn't Capcom and Fromsoftware
I understanf Blizzard, Ubisoft and EA... but why Square Enix too? What did they do wrong? (I don't follow them very much but I'm really interested in the modern action Final Fantasy and Nier Replicant)

They promote NFTs and want to work with them, I don't think I even need to continue since that's already enough to turn a company into garbage. But yeah even besides that they did and still do a lot of scummy nonsense.

This will probably happen. The sad thing is that "Dark Souls" games are not even hard. The people who have a hard time, I just have to wonder. You literally can't rush in or spam buttons. If you can master that, then you win. If something is to hard for you, you can just level up and make everything trivial. Obviously, if you over level you will not be able to PVP with people because of the set soul level for PVP, but you can easily beat the game.

:praisesun:

Why does every GIT GUDDER think its this problem, that people are getting stuck on the first group of trash mobs, are you really that dense or do you think casual players are really that bad?

Seriously this is why git gudders have such a bad rap for being toxic.

Its the BOSSES, its always the BOSSES that make people quit!

And its always the same bosses, Capra Demon, O&S, Blood Starved Beast, Gascione, etc

I dont know which DS2 or 3 bosses made people quit.
I actually quit ds 2 because 8 way run instead of omni direction. the git gudders arent the problem. maybe you just arent the target market. not everything needs to be inoffensive gray goo.

As simple as the overall quality of their games is underwhelming. Then ask for 80€ in the EU. Then plan for NFTs and such as you wrote. So yeah...

It was a mildly flippant response to a mildly flippant answer no need to get your panties in a twist because of it, the whole thing was already resolved.

As for knowing the entire game beforehand. I don't care if you know a game like Ninja Gaiden Inside out, you are not beating it on Master Ninja Difficulty with Master Ninja Rank if you don't also have the practice to use that knowledge.

You are not Fully S ranking the Entirety of Devil May Cry on every difficulty just by knowing how the combo system works inside and out if you don't have the practice to use that knowledge.

I like to know things and prepare I don't like testing things blindly, to me that is boring and waste of time. I prefer knowing what I want and working towards it and honing my ability to use what I want to use, I leave the testing to people who enjoy it. I want to know my options and choose the preferred style. Sometimes that preferred style is full on meta if I like how it plays or sometimes that is just something viable that appeals to me.

Knowing the meta, all equipment locations, important drops etc is not enough to beat the ultimate goal which are fun challenge runs like lvl 1 run, but the information is key to preparing for it.
