Elden Ring is a singleplayer game (with limited multiplayer tho) that probably won't ever see additional content (the game prior, Sekiro, at least didn't get any dlc).
Thought the same about Monster Hunter. Then World launched and they introduced mtx, and Rise even increased the numbers of mtx while not providing any content updates (and by content updates i mean new monsters) for 7 months by now.
Nothing is impossible sadly. If executives demand mtx, you as a dev implement them. I don't wanna know how hard the World successor will push for greedy mtx schemes.
ofc it's just my opinion
this is a bait post guys. don't fall for it.
there's no dumpster fire over on any Lost Ark forums other than EU people pissed about queue times to play the game. everybody knows Lost Ark has p2w aspects of the game, nobody is warning anybody away or it wouldn't be the #1 game on steam still. I'm willing to bet OP has never even played an MMO.
