For an early boss, he is brutal, not as bad as Blood Starved Beast, but still pretty bad. I get sumnoned for him way way more than Cleric or BSB, or even Vicar
its all just subjective i guess, i get wrecked my fair share but everyone always seems to have different struggles ive always found Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos and blood starved beast very easy but thats thats just me, i think i find Martyr Logarius more difficult than all of those.
Elden Ring is From's biggest game, with most variety. I think the game will be easy or hard depending on your playstyle, char build, and especially the order you do things.
Mind you this wasn't good difficulty, it wasn't well crafted or interesting. It quite frequently spawned a bunch of Zerg rushing enemies that overwhelmed you.
Amy for me was pretty random. I mean xD, I just began to swing my weapon everywhere. I had no idea what was going on. Sometimes, I was hitting for big damage and sometimes for 12, 22. Hahahaha. She fell at 3rd try.
I think more than anything it all depends on what you find adapts and you are good at. some find BB easier, some find it harder than DS series. Assuming elden ring follows that well who knows i hope harder
To swing it back to souls games. I finally beat Darksouls 1 when DS2 came out to get into it fresh. And was met by people going through a revolving door of "Dodging is just like the last game you idiot you are just bad dodging isn't worse!" then after I googled up warrior has less I frames than a DS1 fat roll no matter what until you grind substats like an MMO, those same people U turned to "Oh well I thought it was obvious the whole time I frames were different." Even knowing I was actually handicapped let me beat the next few bosses without dying as I MMO ground that up instead of trusting "Hard but fair" getting my face slammed.
Remember. In any franchise, there will be people who think inconvenience is the same thing as challenge. Then whine like babies when the boss they were busy hyping up as "Only pure master gamer skill can even THINK of beating them!" is actually EZ boss for babies if you beat it, because you didn't hamstring yourself and beat it with a donkey konga drum set.
Even super easy games with food replicators in your spawn point will get local alien fruit that makes you vomit blood if you eat a few in one sitting nerfed by people screaming "But it grows on trees! you don't have to replant it! TOO EZ" and you cope by using your livestock spawner that doesn't even drain power. gosh, good thing they nerfed the item with slightly less button presses involved.
Nobody gushes about the actual genuine "Hard but fair" parts of games because it isn't scraping the gutter for the next goalpost shift to say anyone who eventually succeeds doesn't count.
Imagine if people were more prone to suggest DS1 warrior "Because Kite shield has both 100% physical resist and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ parry frames" instead of trying to shame new players into handicapping themselves.
Or stop crying the Mikiri counter in sekiro is EZ mode to struggling sekiro newbies still having it rough after they unlock it, and instead warn them it isn't actually strong until you unlock Shinobi eyes.
Nobody who says "Git Gud idiot" actually wants you to get better. Because if they did, they would point you to how a game actually works so you can ♥♥♥♥♥ slap it in the face even with a trash build you put together basically at random.
You know, like the knight's crossbow in DS3 everyone says is trash. That turns the boring flying dragon first phase of the nameless kind into duck hunt on a budget because half lightning hand crossbow you can upgrade with basic titanite wrecks it's face even without lightning ammo.... Nah, gotta scream at people to Git Gud or respec their entire build to gimmick dragonslayer weapons that do ♥♥♥♥ all to the second phase. That proves you are a learned veteran of the game who knows what you are talking about to newbies because... uh... reasons.
