Where do i get it? The wiki says that i have to talk to Melina in the minor erdtree church, but i am here and don't have that option. I haven't even been able to find any info on it besides the wiki so i'm in a bit of a pickle here!

It seems that she leaves you after you light a bonfire in Leyndell and you can't get the gesture again until ng+. I guess doing Deeprot Depths before Altus was a mistake.

Bit late to add this, but may help people who stumble upon this later with the same problem, like I did. If you finish the Margott fight, Melina rejoins you, then you can travel back to the church, get your history lesson then receive the gesture. You don't have to wait till ng+
