Otherwise for aoe glintstone arc.
Pebbles are great for DPS/FP ratio, and just for point and click kills (as Sling for example can get terrain blocked).
Comet Azur is just a meme in DMg; I use it with Flask to delete enemies like the Tree Spirit, and, while positioning can be an upright ♥♥♥♥-fest on some bosses as it has a wind-up and cast time, you can score over 10k damage within 5 seconds (highest I saw so far was 16ish-K on first Dragon in Farum Azula). It is also just good for a 2 second cast of 1-2k damage I guess
Arrow/Arrow Volley spell is amazing for damage/FP ratio; at 99INT I hit the Giants by Stormveil for about 2K and they go as far as you can lock-on (vs pebbles being only a few feet sorta deal). Does take a good amount of FP in total though.
Stars of Ruin - This is my go to basic spell now. Cast hangs for a second, so you can abuse AI evading on cast so they dodge the first star and take the rest. It puts out good DPS also - basically used this and Azur to shred the entire Haligtree with Bastards Stars in-case I had no FP.
Also - worth mentioning; any mist spell. The DPS is actually quite good if you can wait (Death Maidens Mist ticks up to like 1500 for me before re-cast), and so if you are on a rafter or something, that is tons of damage for like 10FP while you stay safe
Yeah, that's the mist I meant in my message; this guy gets it lol; is also great for crowd control.
Normal Meteorite is probably the quickest one you can get and use.
Comet Azur is better for smaller bosses, Meteorites will usually outdamage Comet Azur on big bosses though.
Good stagger, decent damage, good range, decent tracking, not expensive FP cost, 3 projectiles at the same time and you honor Radahn by using his move.
Btw I think you can still get the meteor staff bonus without actually using it to cast if you dual wield it on your off hand.
