Best sorceries?
I'm looking for top tier sorceries for boss fights. Highest damage per second to be used with the unlimited focus points wondrous physick. Once the physick runs out then highest damage per focus point.

Based on what I read Glintstone Pebble and Rock Sling are pretty good overall, despite having very low intelligence requirement. The problem with the stronger sorceries is that their focus point cost goes way up and with the same amount of focus I could do more damage with weaker sorceries.

Frost pebble, Adula's moonblade, Comet Azur, Stars of Ruin, Ranni's Moon...

Comet Azur and Meteorite of Astel wreck most bosses if you can get good positioning, other than that rock sling and pebble work just fine as well, you do need the 10sec inf FP potion for Comet Azur and MoA to really shine however.

Rock Sling's more for the early parts of the game, you'll likely use it less after the Meteor Staff (which boosts it, but can't be upgraded) gets surpassed by other staffs after upgrading them, and after getting high-end spells.

Comet Azur is great for bulky, large enemies. The more nimble ones will jump out of it. But it is also useful to burn down knights, flowers and similar "annoyances" ^^

The meteorite seems rather chaotic to me?

I've seen some elite mages literally 'spam' rannis moon blast which is like really powerful lol.
However I can't confirm if that DPS/Cost of use is as good, or comes close to proc damage rot magic like breath attacks.

Imagine it is stronger but idk.

meteorite will melt larger boss if you can get a good position. will still be rng but I've killed multiple dragons before the inf fp runs out with this strategy even without multiple buffs like terra magica.

heck it CAN even work on on foot enemies like crucible knights but even more rng-er. again though, it's super rng based lol.

Magic Glintblade is very good utility vs NPC's that dodge, because they dodge you pressing cast spell, not the projectile that launches a few seconds later. Excellent to use when on horseback vs a persistent enemy.

night comet paired with a good main staff and then staff of loss in offhand really wrecks stuff.
Doesnt have good tracking as pebble but it does far more dmg, but enemies dont normally dodge it either bcoz its technically invisible

What would you recommend against Maliketh? Max 52 intelligence requirement. Meteorite shower relatively easily miss him.

a fast casting spell with good decent dmg and decent fp cost, such as pebble, rock sling or night comet, or stars of ruin.
Azur comet and meteor of astel is not a good option for that boss.

Ranni's moon (and the other moon, too) debuffs the enemy's magic resistance, so it is a good opener. I think as you fly for a moment when you cast you can actually dodge some stuff, but this is pure coincidence.

Moonblade is like slicer but just better(?) as it also has frost and a ranged arc. You can mow down enemy groups with this, and it even interrupts many tougher foes, just not the thickest knights.

Frost pebble has the same effect on dodging enemies - the may avoid the first one, but often not subsequent ones. Frost proc makes it a very good alternative to the basic pebble.

Thx for info about meteorite - will try it out hehe :)

Terra magica is also cool if you can prepare and stay stationary. Cast terra magica, followed by fireball for maximum joy (the Cannon spell) :p

On the plus side, if you're seriously into Glintblade, the relevant staff scales pretty well once upgraded.

May as well put my question here, does anyone know of any good ambush (PVP) spells? Ones that can do an obscene amount of Damage in (preferably) an AOE?
