Unable to summon anyone underground
I can't summon anyone even with a password.

Tried with 7 other players.
I can be summoned by others and I can invade others.

When it fails to summon I am even unable to quit game, it's greyed out, so I have to alt+f4.

I tried resetting router and pc
verifying game files
leaving and rejoining area

Been trying to fight this boss and sort this summoning issue for 4 hours now and I'm starting to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off.
Online I only find trash like 'wait for patch' comments and articles from 20 days ago.

FROM when are you going to fix your garbage?!

Anyone know of any fix for this, it's really starting to get on my nerves.

Are you trying to summon in a area in which you have beaten all the bosses? For example if you beat all bosses in SV Castle then you won't be able to summon anyone.

Did you share you pw in a public space? Tbh, so many people are playing that summon signs are often already spent before they even appear for the average player. Sucks I know, but keep spamming that button and you'll summon soon enough.

If you use a pw, try asking your summon partner to put their sign in a not so obvious place. If you shared the pw online, a lot of people can still get in on it.

No it was usually shared with 1-2 people. Their summons arent being stolen.

Make sure all of you multiplayer options are on, and make sure your friends options are all on as well. My friend had to restart the game after turning everything on.

Ok sorry didn't know seeing the limited info I have no choice but to guess. Try turning matchmaking off. Unless one of your buddys is in Japan.

They were all on, they were all off, they were all in between. Still same thing.

It's some sort of glitch that prevents people to join my game.
When i click to summon someone i wait a long time and then i get unable to summon and they say they got disconnected. They didnt even appear in my game.
Then after this happens I cannot place my sign down or leave the game until i teleport to grace. It doesnt even let me sit at the grace no matter if i wait 30 minutes until i teleport to it.

How about a different area? Just for testing

It seems to be tied to underground area. Someone else also had this issue.

Things have been more unstable with the Multiplayer since the last patch. Hopefully the next one will help. But in the meantime, what has helped me when things get as bad as you've seen is to bounce my router. It is only a temporary fix, but it does seem to alleviate issues with connections for a bit.

Do you mean bounce it in a bouncy castle? Or what?

Yes, I have encountered multiple issues in nokron (aqueduct area and the pre-tear-of-mimic section). MP connections have been unstable in all directions during a whole evening of gaming (tried invasions, helping as golden summon, and summoning others). Out of all the tries only one invasion and worked out. "Connection Error" the moment you get summoned (gold and red summon), the same as people just appear to be disconnected again.

First I thought it is my connection, but the moment I went to another zone, everything worked out as expected again.

the underground area seems really finicky with summons, it works in other areas but the underground is just like "nah no summons here"

Sorry, it's an old networking term I learned from a colleague. It just means power cycle the router by unplugging it for 30 seconds before turning it back on. It forces all the cache tables in the router to drop their data and start over, which can help alleviate issues due to bad implementations. (Like what is happening with Elden Ring right now)

Again, it's not a perfect fix but it can help reduce strain on the game while we wait for a true fix.
