Does he die, though? There's a distinct horse noise when that happens, and he has like 2-3k HP later on, so actually killing him is not that trivial.
I rarely had him die on me, like, ever.
If you get knocked off, that's you not holding on hard enough! : D
No actually bad controls are bad controls. Thanks for your cooperation.
Except for Fire Giant phase one. ♥♥♥♥'s impossible on horseback, but pathetic on foot.
already linked this video and made this point before, but if the controls are so bad make a video and show what is so bad about it. the bigger the enemy, the easier they are to beat on horse, so just for that i made a video with me going over the lake area fighting small monsters without issue, with a small range katana. if i were using a halberd id be even more efficient cause its charge attack can one shot 4-5 enemies at once

did i mention torrent is also able to completely destroy lobsters, crabs and dragons without even being hit once? its controls are just perfect imo. jump over a crab/lobster gg, dragon jumps up in the air, sprint away and u dont get hit at all by breath attacks
Raise your Vigor then.
Agreeable
I am surprised there is no horse fashion though. Some sort of defensive augmentations would also seem like a natural fit for the game. Or maybe even let Torrent unlock a few talisman pouches so that we receive their effect only when we hop on. Imagine the bliss; if you could just equip your cat talisman on Torrent and leave it there for the rest of the playthrough.
The current system is underwhelming with little more than a numberless health bar to help you understand anything about Torrents ability to stay standing or alive. I don't mind the crafting system, but everything about raisins is stupid.
