item duping with a friend bannable?

I'm hardcapping myself at lvl 120 through my first playthrough so that when I reach the end, I can backup my save as a meta level pvp character, and my main save can progress uncapped. This is also so that my pvp character can have all the gear and items in the game through my first playthrough.

However, I also want to dual wield some unique weapons in pvp, which obviously isn't possible unless I run through NG+ as well. I was wondering if I could be banned for duping some unique weapons with a friend? Where I backup my save, drop him the gear, and reload the save then he gives it back?

No you wont get banned for duping.

but the devs know about the feature that lets you drop and pickup items
as if they didnt know what was gonna happen

It is, but it’s not like fromsoft has a way to tell that you’re duping. From their perspective you’re just picking up runes dropped from another player

I want to dupe some unique weapons because i don't want to start a NG+ (at least not yet). Is it safe? Also, where should i go to backup my save file? Is it in "appdata/roaming" ?

There's also the grand merchant mod. As long as you remove it before going back online it should be fine
