where did you farm for the spear? I was considering doing a playthrough with a spear/shield build, but now im scared of trying to get that one lol

Lets use an analogy here to help. I can enhance and improve your OS, this DOES NOT MEAN I CAN CREATE AN OS FROM SCRATCH.

I personally don't use stuff like Honest Merchant, but I get where people who do are coming from. If the only thing standing between you and the item in question is the tedium of farming, what difference does it make if you just buy it? You weren't learning anything or getting better, you were just pouring time down a hole while you waited for a drop.

Its really not bad to farm in this game. Stuff drops pretty easily just you cant kill 2 enemies then go "WHERE IS MY DROP" like you gonna generally have an inventory full of like 600 weapons and armor you'll never touch just from playing the game a bit.

They drop off of any of the spear wielding marionet soldiers. You can find them near the repurposed watch tower in Liurnia or whatever, or near one of the merchants in Rotland to the far east of start along the road.

I'm doing Partisan and Spiked Spear (for strike damage).

The drop rate is too low. FROM needs to implement some system that causes the first instance of an item to drop at a much higher rate. Failure to do so just encourages people to edit their saves and use mega mules.

I dunno; it just took me a full hour and a half of farming to get the two pieces of the Blue Silver set I needed...and that was on an arcane build, too.

megamule has been out for ages now but you can never be sure if they are legit or not, so if you intend on playing online don't be surprised if you get banned.

1.5 hours is a hell of a long time trying to get a simple weapon like the spiked spear. 1.5 hours would only be worth it for something like Moonveil, Rivers of Blood etc. but a normal spear? Yeah thats an incredibly low drop rate
