things to do before killing margit?

do you get locked out of anything if you go and kill margit? i tried to google and nothing really popped out/was obvious

I assume you mean the one in the Capital - no you don't get locked out of anything after killing them - it just allows you access to the next area of the game.

Not much, Mar"git" is there to tell you to "git gud" and Mar"gott" is where you supposedly "gott gud". So don't fail him...
