Struggling with Godrick Grafted, which ashes to use?

So I can summon the lady that I found nearby and I can easy last until 2nd phase where is massive aoe fire screws me up. Been using the 3 spirit ash wolves but they die fast in the fire. Should I upgrade them again to level 4 or use Raya Lucaria Soldier Ashes and upgrade them to 2 or 3 if I can?
I also have the Rotten Stray, wondering if he will live long enough to proc his rot effect so i just have to dodge for rest of fight?

I should add, these are the ashes I have so far that I can use:-
Wandering Nobles
Noble Sorcerer
Skeletal Militiaman
Lone Wolves
Rotten Stray
Spirit Jellyfish
Glintstone Sorcerer
Godrick Soldiers
Ray Lucaria Soldiers
--
I also have 2 more but nowhere near enough FP to summon them

Jellyfish is good for passive poison damage, just don’t let godrick attack her

Never used a co-op yet, do i just put the finger summon thing on the floor and wait?

no you use a furled finger. if you put your gold thing down you go to their world. i'd help you but im high level so we'd need a password. but there should be plenty there. if not add on steam.

you can craft furled finger if you bought crafting from first merchant. Using fingers will show you summon signs. Gold = good. Red = duelist.

Upgrading always helps, gear and ashes alike. Depending on how much you've explored and what level you are, it might not be a bad idea to continue looking around and leveling up.

I feel many of the ashes are underwhelming, especially the early ones. Rotten stray is a decent option if it can get the rot off, but you'll need to pull aggro so it can get the hits in.

The fire AOE is frustrating, especially if your vigor is low and you get one-shot from it, but if you can get behind him before he sets it off you'll be in good shape.

Ultimately, all bosses should be beatable solo at any level with enough skill and patience, so focusing on learning from every loss will eventually get you the win and think of how best you can use your resources. Each fight ends up becoming a formula for me after enough attempts. Hope any of that helps.

I'm currently using a Nagakiba+8 (quality) and sheild.. although at this point I'm thinking using a shield is a waste of time

its easier with coop because you dont get as much aggro. the flame attack is easy to dodge actually. roll into it. i said wolves because while they will die fast enough, they should hold aggro.

if you go solo, summon the NPC (if its there). If youre with humans, don't. More players = harder. You can have up to 3 coop, you and two others.

Wasting your time trying to use ashes for help. he is too powerful and will crush them. Rot also won't work because it would take so long to kill him you'd have to dodge attacks for 20 minutes straight.

The only way you're gonna beat this guy is to git gud. I suggest you get you vigor to 40 is you can or at least 30 for this fight. Use jumping attacks and charged R2 attacks. Summon a real player for help. You need the distraction so the boss keeps changing his target lock and not just focusing 1 person. First phase of the fight is very easy.

2nd phase he is weak to MAGIC. I suggest you save your magic for the second phase and then blast him while your help distracts him. Her should be an easy fight if you follow my strategy.

thank you very much for the offer. Going to upgrade my wolves, i thought they were level 3 but only 2. once i get them up a bit they should tank longer i think. gonna also go dual katana as I think i might get more dos depending on stamina

That is literally the opposite of my build. I'm level 200 with less vigor lol. Plenty of builds. But yes he will crush ashes. I think you learn his mechanics then bring real players.
