I used to run battle hammer, but it is frankly too short and misses a lot of guard counters for that reason. Great Stars does slightly less damage but is longer, leeches a small amount of health on hit and applies bleed fairly reliably. It's my main weapon for about 30 hours now.

I currently use a Heavy Zweihander with B scaling, but thats collosal
As tip for faster attacks in case you are not aware, use jump attack
If want some normal versions.
The knights carrying greatswords can drop them, as can the banished knights.
The Banished knight one is the probably the strongest non-boss/unique one
Personally when i swapped to duel wielding colossal hammers (The Great Hammer and prelate's inferno crozier) that's when my damage saw a massive increase. Using 2 didn't slow me down anymore than 2h one weapon. But my jumping attack and double swing one shots most regular enemies. I also levelled my faith enough to use Golden Vow and Fire, Grant me Strength. I used a Frost version of Royal Knights Resolve on both weapons and i was able to kill Mohg, Lord of Blood before he went into 2nd phase. But this is a build for very late game as the Great Hammer requires 60 strength to 1 hand. You also have to be careful when attacking bosses as some of the later ones have very short windows were you can attack them.
On a more serious note though, the easiest one to get would be Claymore from castle morne, i prefer the flamberge from castle redmane (a STR greatsword with innate bleed?!)
Edit: You can also get the Dismounter curved greatsword from Kaiden (vikings)
P.S. Powerstancing falchions would be the way to go if you can dodge and/or parry though.
Flamberge isn't a very good STR weapon. If you use the Heavy Infusion to make it STR then it only has 55 bleed which isn't enough for you to really ever see a bleed proc actually go off .
* one as a magician, no need to detail it
* one with colossal swords. I speed runned to get "The Greatsword" from Caelid
Timings are indeed tough to pull. Poise break potential not oustanding yet.
It's purely a technical run, to feel these weapons against fast bosses. Absolutley not fun right now.
The second piece I'll power stance with it is : WATCHDOG'S GREATSWORD
And I'll jump-bomb after a 10s buff with "Royal knight's resolve"
Unlike my runs with dual uchis, I have to actually understand way better the bosses and ennemies patterns. A humbling experience.
Yes it can. I used it for a good portion of the game. It isn't a unique weapon.
