Healing magic during a duel?

Question for the community, can you use healing magic during an honorable duel? I mean since it puts you in a pretty bad position for so long i find it fair right? or am i wrong?

Of course it is. It requires a spell slot, time, positioning and puts you in a vulnerable position, so you are wise for pulling a healing spell in the middle of a fight without being interrupted.

Yes, IIRC even in the Arena for DS3 you could use healing spells, good luck getting them off though.

Magic heals are incredibly easy to punish, if you can get one off it’s because your opponent lets you

Absolutely fine, they have to take the time to successfully pull it off, and it consumes fp.

Healing of any kind is generally frowned upon in an consenting 1v1 duel.

You can still do it of course, there's no hard rules stopping it, but it does make you look like a coward.

IMO it is fine if there is no projected-heal analog in the game (aka something that you can just spam in your opponents face).
