Don't play on Maximum (Ultra Graphics)
I've been troubleshooting an issue relating to the game freezing and then crashing and came to the conclusion that the games Maximum Graphics settings are broken.

I highly recommend anyone who finds this discussion to lower everything to High in case you have any settings on Max, I constantly crashed around every 10 to 20 minutes and sometimes after half an hour before and after lowering I had an uninterrupted session of two hours.

Sorry. Game is butter smooth on max setting especially after last update. Sorry you have tech issues.

Amd 5600x, rtx 3070, 1440p max setting.

It's unfortunate that the time was spent troubleshooting and that you had to refund the game. That two hour window can be pretty rough to resolve everything.

Although I look at the numbers in your post and suspect I cannot even math.

My games fine on max with no dips it just randomly crashes while doing nothing but basic stuff and lowering to high seemed to have fixed the whole crashing issue.

I didn't refund it I'm still playing it, just family share and I don't post often.

I set everything to Medium and all issues such as invisible enemies are solved.
The problem with controls stays thou, I may reconsider buying a controller, this game is such a mess on MKB.

I thought Elden Ring is not a family-shareable title.

Sorry but 99% didn't see a difference even after last update, especially in some cases it's even worse.

Why wouldn't it be? All games - except free-to play and some MMOs - are shareable by default unless the publisher feels like being a ♥♥♥♥ for no reason.

Family Share circumvents online banns.

Shadows absolutely need to be on max, else you get weird artifacts in trees.

I can confirm that and the difference between low and maximum is about 2-3fps on my 1060.

Still wondering if we'll ever get any performance patches for this game because it runs horribly despite it being a marginal improvement over DS3 or Sekiro. Even the PS5 version can't hold a stable 60. After how well this game sold, From should invest in improving the performance of this game at least a little bit.
