TIL Butchering Knife is a DEX weapon.

Got it to +24 and the damn thing has an A scaling on DEX... which makes it super fun considering you can slap Prelate's Charge, cast Bloodflame on it and go ham on Malenia's ass (every hit of it also heals you).

I wonder if they're going to nerf it.

I personally like prayerful strike and prelates charge on it, prelates charge on the butcher knife and mourning stars is pretty good to get some cheeky healing in.

Sorta depends on the weapon used, with butcher knife prayerful strike doesn't have a ton of range, but with mourning stars it has a pretty decent reach based on my times using them. I think great axes have some odd hitboxes at times.

You'd be surprised actually how some weapons turn out, I've been looking for fun stuff to do builds with, two of the most surprising were Grossmesser and Beastmans Curved Sword, both of which are strength weapons, despite them being Curved Swords. There are also spears like the Partisan and Iron Spear that scale better with strength and a bunch of bigger weapons scaling better with dex. Both builds have ALOT of options when it comes to weapons to be honest, faster ones and slower ones.

I just want to add that for some reason, blood grease barely triggers bleeding when combined with Prelate's Charge, while Bloodflame Blade does it often and very easily.
